Anyone out there swap XBOX Hard Drives? I have and older Xbox with a Western Digital Drive and it died on me. Wont work cause I Downloaded Xbox live of the Beta of Splinter Cell. I cant fix it (not to good with technical stuff) but am willing to pay for it to somone who can! Also thinking of getting a bigger hard drive since i am already junking the old one. thanks in advance.

Just Boot using a evolution X Cd. Then FTP a working dashboard to the hard-drive. I think thats all....

yes thats essentially what you need to do, the HD is not junk. check out xboxscene.com for tutorials. But if you really want to junk it, i'll tak it off your hands! ;)

i dont have any pc skills. i need someone to do the whole thing for me. i didnt have evolution x on there to begin with just the original dashboard, and i dont want to get rid of the system because it has custom case and led lights soldered to the bottom. i just want the hard drive fixed or upgraded or whatever. thanks in advance

well you'd be best to check out the BST forum, if you want a new HD or someone to set it up for you.
