It seems like everyone here here likes the Pioneer A04. Is there any particular reason for it ??? I recenlty saw the new Sony multi platform DVD burner and it seems to be the way to go but its way to expansive for me.

Cay anyone tell me whats the best overall burner to get (for ps2, xbox games, dvd movies etc). And whats the big differnce b/t the following

Dvd + R / Dvd - R
Dvd Ram
Dvd +RW / DVD-RW

Whats the best website to buy cheap dvd burners ?

thanks

Personnally I'd go for one of the Pioneer drives.. I have an A03 and its been great, the A04 isn't much of an upgrade really and the A05 is out soon if not already..
These burn DVD-r discs are are fantastic for DVD players, the PS2 seems to prefer this format although people have got DVD+r working.
DON'T get a DVD-Ram drive.. These are mainly for computers and used as data storage..

Best website!?!?! loads, try here in the BST Hardware though, DVD burners sold here everyday mate..

There are compatability issues with the Sony multi-format drive already, they apparantly don't seem to like Verbatim discs at the moment... Not a good sign really...
