I read a lot about how it "should" work and it "might" work, so I figured Ide confirm it =) Ive got a v7 PS2 with a v5/6 rmod installed and am using swap magic disc to boot games. 1 simple swap and dvd-rs and cdr's are working great.

Where did you buy it? I meant no solder mod and swap magic? And does the PS2 tray closes and open really fast or normal? Also please tell me what DATE CODE is it? I have 2C which the heat sink is different from 2B.

Did your rmod have three plugs for ribbon connectors on it? If so, which plugs did you use? The two that are on the same side of the board?
