shoobeedoodoo Oct 30, 2002, 04:58 PM Hi,
Everytime I start up Virtua Tennis for the PC, it loads, shows crowd, and before I can serve or anything, it just exits to the Windows desktop, what can I do to fix this?
Thanks!

MasterGHP Oct 30, 2002, 06:41 PM What version Windows are you using? Are you running from the CD-ROM or is it all on the harddrive?
Push come to shove, you could always uninstall it, reboot, and reinstall and reboot before trying to play again.
However, I find when something like that happens, it tends to be a video setting that could be causing the game to crash. Check your video card settings, including in the game itself and in your Windows OS configuration.
Many games work well in 600x800.
shoobeedoodoo Oct 30, 2002, 10:19 PM I'm running Windows XP and I'm running it from the CD. I tried uninstalling, then rebooting, and installing again and it still doesn't work. I also tried running it at 600 x 800 and tried many settings and it justs returns to the desktop right when I'm just about to serve. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

yinyan Oct 31, 2002, 01:43 PM try running in 1024*768 - mine would only run in this mode.
shoobeedoodoo Oct 31, 2002, 02:26 PM Thanks for the advice, however, I tried running it in 1024x768 already, (16 bit and 32 bit) and it still won't work. If I just let the game run, like the intro in the beginning, it shows the intro just fine and everything. It's only when I start a game that it returns me to the desktop. It also does the same thing if I go into options, and then exit options, it returns me to the desktop. I've noticed though that when I go into options, the sound slowly goes away and then when I exit options, it then returns me to the desktop. Is this possibly a sound problem then?
Thanks for any suggestions!

shoobeedoodoo Oct 31, 2002, 10:27 PM Hiya,
I tried disabling my sound card, and then the game runs fine, but then I don't have sound =). So now, how do I make this game run with my sound card enabled? I have a Soundblaster Live Value and I have updated all drivers and everything. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

tharock2001 Nov 02, 2002, 12:16 PM try getting a patch off the developers web site
shoobeedoodoo Nov 02, 2002, 01:13 PM Thanks for the advice, but I've tried that too, upgraded my game to the latest version 1.1, but still won't work properly. Any other advice?
Thanks!

tharock2001 Nov 04, 2002, 08:22 AM how bout upgrading your video card drivers?
shoobeedoodoo Nov 05, 2002, 08:53 PM I'm using the latest drivers for my GeFroce 4600 from nvidia's website, so I don't think that's the problem. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

shoobeedoodoo Nov 14, 2002, 10:37 PM Yay, I finally got it to work!
If anyone else has this problem, all you have to do is remove the Nimo Codec pack if you have it, thanks a lot for all the help!
