Hi folks,

Trying to convert a SVCD to a VCD for a mate. i have run the mpeg2 through DVD2AVI to get a d2v video and MPA audio file. i have loaded both files into tmpgenc and loaded a VCD template.

The question is why to i get a file size of 1333MB from a 800MB file. i thought a lower bitrate would lower the file size!!

What have i done wrong??? Have i missed something out??

Thanks in advance.

VCD is 10mb per minute. Therefor 1333MB's would be 133.3mins of movie.

First, is the movie or what ever it is over 80mins long, then, use dvd2avi to get the 2 files, but use a mp3 to wav converter to turn the mpg audio file into a wav file, then open the 2 and encode to vcd, thats how I do it, always works.
