I just bought a Creative PCDVD player off of Ebay and installed the unit in my computer. I bought the unit so that I could read DVD information. I am not interested in actually viewing DVD movies I just want to be able to read the files. When I put a DVD in the drive I get a windows message that states that the drive in inaccesible. I know that drive works because I have put in normal CDs and they have been able to play them. Can someone give some advice as to how get the DVD Rom drive to recognize the media.
Just a side note. I looked on the creative web site for some drivers and there does not seem to be any for the dvd rom. There are however some drivers for the decoder card. Do I have to have these drivers installed just to read the dvd?
