Hey guys. I have a question that I used to know the answer to, but I can't seem to remember how to do it. I have internet explorer 6 and when I click on my favorites, it keeps opening pages in new windows. I would like them to stay in one window. Can any of you point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find the settings to change so it opens in only one window.

Tools - Internet Explorer options - advanced - reuse the window for launching shortcuts (browsing section)

Thanks for the reply. I did what you said and it was already checked. Maybe I should explain further. If I use my regular favorites, its fine. Untill recently I was able to go to my home page, which has bookmarks (favorites), and they would all open in the same window. The past week or so the bookmarks are opening in different windows. I was hoping to get my bookmarks back the way they were. I thought perhaps I may have changed something in internet explorer, but maybe it's excite. www.excite.com. Thats what I use for my home page. Thanks anyways.

Did you install IE 6 SP1? Do it. It's very important!

I wouldn't recommend SP1 for IE6, it has been 'implicated' in a number of O/S problems. I know of two members here who have had wierd problems after installing SP1.

Make it 3 lol. I notice this problem, now that its been mentioned after sp1. Oh well, guess I have to live with it :)

I'm using IE 6 with SP1 on Win 98, 98 SE & ME. These are all my machines. I don't know if under another OSs there are troubles. Anyway, pay attention as Darkman warned us!
