View Full Version : Whats a good program to automatically redial your connection if it drops?

lo all.. looking for a good simple proggy that will automatically redial my internet conection if it drops or i get disconnected..

anyone recomend any? its goota work so i can go out and when i come back i am sure to still be connected still

Windows has that feature built-in in the Dial-up networking, look there for a box to auto-connect.

Also if you use a third party download manager, they normally have the feature included, just enter your ISP details, so if the download are stopped due to disconnect, it will re-establish the connection and carry on again.

autoconnect doesnt reconnect though does it, if your connection drops it stays off?well thats what happens for me, i got adsl and sometimes my connection disconnects, dont wanna use any download managers.. just a proggy that sits there and monitors the connection

Windows reconnect feature should work fine m8. Occasionally, if you have multiple programs (or multiple instances of one program) trying to reconnect, it may get stuck though. If you are using a prgram like Flash FXP, set the retry delay higher to give your dialer a chancer to reconnect.

net pal 1.2c nice little prog will also tell you how much you would have paid if you were paying at 1p a minute! :)

you can alter outlook express even if you dont use it too check for new mail every minute,click even when working offline and it automatically connects you back up,works well for me as i get booted after every 2 hours
