Hi.
Whenever I try to burn a file (data) compilation with EZ Cd Creator I get an error in the CD"closing" phase . The recorded CD appears to be a Audio CD (with a single CDA track recorded) ...although I choose the DATA recording mode..
any ideia of what could be wrong ?
Thank you very much.

These fixes are from the Nero Helptool but they are generic enough that they may solve your eacyCD problem
A data CD appears in Explorer as an audio CD
Burned data CDs are always recognized as Audio CDs, i.e. for every written session, in Explorer they see one line respectively with TRACK<n>.CDA.
If you are using a Philips CDD3610 / HP 7200 / HP 7100 or a compatible device, then please change to Nero 4.0.3.4 or newer.
This problem occurs e.g. in the case of some PacketCD versions. Please deinstall PacketCD and make sure that all PacketCD drivers have been removed. Refer also to drivers of other CD burner programs
The file SCSI1HLP.VXD (Windows\System\IOSUBSYS directory) causes these phenomena in connection with other drivers. Please delete this file.
If the option DMA is activated during the burning process, then it is possible that the burned CDs are seen as being audio CDs (e.g.: in the case of Yamaha CD burners).
Please deactivate the option DMA to be deactivated (see: DMA Option)
If you are using an Adaptec SCSI hostadapter : We are aware of some cases in which it was possible to resolve the problem by updating to the newest drivers of the SCSI Hostadapter das Problem beseitigt werden konnte. Höchstwahrscheinlich kann bei den Hostadapter. It is very likely that with the the problem can be solved by updating the drivers.

Thank you Darkman for your help.
I uninstalled EasyCD Creator, deleted the SCSI1HLP.VXD file and installed Nero 4.0.7.0...
I burned a data file compilation ,everything went ok BUT again the recorded CD was considered a Audio CD and all those files I recorded read as one (big) audio track...any idea of how to solve this case?

OK something else to try, if you have a motherboard that uses a VIA chipset download & install the VIA 4in1 drivers (http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2#4in1)
Also try renaming these vxd files:
scsi1hlp.vxd - rename to scsi1hlp.bak
atapchng.vxd - rename to atapchng.bak (only if you do not have an IDE / ATAPI CD ROM multi-disc changer)
necatapi.vxd - rename to necatapi.bak (only if you do not have an NEC CD ROM)
torisan3.vxd - rename to torisan3.bak (only if you do not have a Torisan CD ROM multi-disc changer)
You can find them in the C:\Windows\System\Iosubsys\ directory

Hi Darkman
I told as you said and renamed those vxd except the atapchng.vxd .
I managed to make a good data recording in a rewritable CD ("seen" as DATA by my 2 computers) but in my second try (with a normal CD -non-rewritable) both of computers "saw" the content as Audio CD.
Downloaded the 4in1 drivers but when I try to install them it says "Registry error-reboot your computer".
I'm trying to change my DMA options but really don´t know how to.
In the properties of CD rom in the decive manager I see no DMA options chek box.
Any help appreciated.
Thank

rename the atapchng.vxd file, you only need this vxd if you have a multichanger CDROM.
You must check that your Motherboard uses a VIA chipset before you try to install the VIA 4in1 drivers. Installing these drivers on a non-VIA chipset motherboard can potentially cause major problems to your system.
In the CDROM properties there should be 4 check boxes,
AIN - Auto Insert Notification
DMA - Direct Memory Access
Sync Data Transfer
Disconnect
Disconnect should be enabled and sync data transfer disabled. If you don't have a DMA check box then the device isn't DMA capable.
Also check these settings on your burner.
