right as stupid as i am i have always converted my mp3 file to wav using dbpoweramp before i burnt on to disc but i read you can just drop the files into nero (latest version) by selecting compile audio cd then dropping in box and it will do it for you and it worked a treat i was just wondering is there any perfermence loss or any probs they played back on my cdplayer ok and this would save me loads o time

I always use nero for this m8 and have never had any problems playing them in various cd players.
The older versions of nero also allow you to do this.

Its the exact same as burning the wavs to cd. It just converts the mp3's to cd audio on the fly.

Nope, there will be no performance loss. If your system is slow and the burner has no burnproof then try not to do other things at same time.

Well, my P4 2.8GHz with 2GB RAM and my new LiteOn 52X with SmartBurn can burn pretty fast and pretty safe too so I believe yours also do the same.

You should have no problems with the the "on the fly" conversions.

My old computer was a 200 mhz AMD (I think) with only 2GB hard drive space and 96 mb ram. I believe I was supposed to only go up to 32 MB (according to ibm.com) but I said screw it...I always went on the fly, but then again I only burnt at 4x.
