O.k peeps, I've got a prob with doin' films over 4.3 gigs i.e Panic room, The question is :- "HOW DO YOU DO IT?!".

I've tried re-encoding before using the guide above and after waiting 4 hrs for the process to be completed, Spruce said "screen resolution too low for dvd.

I'm not sure what this means but at a guess i done something wrong.

Please can someone help as i'm trying to do Panic room but the movie film is 4.7g.

Has anyone already done this and know's the setting for ReMPEG2 or is there an easier way of doin this?

I would like to do a full retail version of this film but as i have no previous experience of this kind of thing then just the movie would be great.

Thanx in advance:)

Quick Panic!!!

Have you tried splitting to 2 DVDr's.

In my view this is the best thing to do... That way you won't lose the quality of the video and you can also put the extras on either the fisrt or the second disc.

I don't use spruce up atall I find it more time consuming then using IFOedit.

If you email tommorow ill talk you through step by step on how to do this..

Best thing to do is follow the steps on www.doom9.org
or goto Derrow's site (IFOedit homepage)and look at his guides.

Ifoedit is the best program out there.. The new version can do everything spruceup can.....

READ UP ON IFOEDIT..... ITS THE DOGS BOLLOCKS

All that sounds very good but one of the main reason i changed from VCD to DVD is so that you don't have to get up half way through the film to change the disc:laugh:
And obviously the picture and sound quality comes a close 2nd.

The best way to do it would be to:

follow the instructions on www.doom9.org on authoring a DVD using IFOedit 0.95

Basically it is exactly the same as using spruce up...

You demux the DVD to ac3 files and demux the m2v file

then you compress the video .

then you remux them using this program....

It's really useful and much better than Spruce it can also do all the audio streams as apposed to 1 like spruce..

IE you can have DTS sound and 5.1 on the same DVD

Hope this info is good for you..

Yup, IFOEdit guide from www.doom9.org is excellent. You can keep original menus and audio tracks/subs that you want.

Just need some rempeg most of the time to get most DVD9s to fit.

You are lucky it takes 4 hours, my slow *** cpu takes 10~12 hr on average for rempeg
