Currently, I am using WinME and switch back and forth to Win98SE as well. I am using DCD5.10 and Nero5.5.7.2 with Iomega EXT6402-B (USB 2.0).

1>> I read somewhere and have tried the instructions to make both wares compatible. One of the tip is to make a DCD Shortcut on the Desktop. I now forget where the link is. I know it is a junior's website. Anybody recalled?

2>> My PC kept on popping an error message that I have eject the hardware illegally and sometimes it can go on for a few times. Sometimes, it does not. Sometimes there is a red X on the DCD icon on the tray. How do I defeat this?

3>> Iomega is running on USB2.0 but I have not been using an adapter card becos it makes my system hangs. I have no problem burning CD at USB1.0 but I notice that both DCD and Nero offer a read/write speed of 16x, supposedly. I have been burning CDs at these speed. Is there anyway to check?

Thank you in advance and regards...

right iam no expert you will probably get a better reply.to start, you must have paid alot of money for your external usb 2.0 iomega drive.it must work better as usb 2.0, with the card installed.supposibly alot faster and if this burner is a 16x with it set up correctly should burn at this speed.2,useing it as usb 1 mine will only burn at 4x but my external is alot older.3,directcd 5.10,does not recognise all new drives,so you should check to see if compatible at
www.roxio.com 3,directcd5.10 is compatible with nero and most software. the ealier versions of direct cd had problems with most software.4,you could try incd which works with nero aswell.i would try 1stly try and get your iomega drive working with the usb2 card as it will work faster and correctly for the drive.you should get more help by the experts on this forum as they are very knowledgable.colin

Thanks for your advice. First of all, InCD does not support my CDRW. But I aslos read somewhere that I have to uninstalled DCD before installing InCD.
I am much more waiting for the correct link to that guy's website where he offered tips on how to make both DCD and Nero compatible.
Regarding the USB Adapter card, I have it installed but it hangs my system everytime. But that was on Win98SE so I may try on WinME.
Thanks very much, Collin....:blockhd:
