Basicly boils down to two types, both are cat5e Crossover Cables For use with direct connections (ie PC-xbox) Straight Through Cables(also known as a Patch or Standard) For use with routers/hubs/switchs (ie PC-router-xbox) Other than that it's all about the packaging and what the manufacturer decided to print on it.
