There's a step by step explaination. You're gonna need tmpegenc and alot of patience.

You could also use CCE, although TMPGEnc is probably easier.

I have used TMPGEnc and i want to convert to mpg. I also have a dvd copier. So i convert to mpg and then use Nero to copy the mpeg but how do i do that. When i select dvd vcd it wont let me put mpgs like u can when u create a cd vcd

When you have converted your avi to mpeg you then need to author it with something like Spruce.

You can't just burn an mpeg to a blank dvd.

http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/part_iii.htm

Follow the link and where the guide says select m2v you must select your mpeg.

Good luck..

Could you point me in the right direction for using CCE with avi's or explain how to get the size correct, ive got some 352x576 captures of hols i wanted to stick on dvd but everytime ive encoded it with CCE i get an encode with 2 great black boarders either side of the image tried setting it at half horizontal and then vertical but its made no difference

TMPGEnc does it fine with half dvd template but the quality is crap compared to CCE

Unselect DVD video compat. With it selected it just makes any source 720x576 by adding black borders.
