I have chipped nearly 200 Psx & Ps1,s. Easy enough,
I am now going to attempt to chip my new Ps2(Never done one before) So here is my question, Is it as easy as the psx, What is the best chip to get, and do I need some kind of Boot cd afterwards,
Many Thanx

no its no harder. the solder points are just as small!!!! just takes a bit of dismantling depending on what version u have and if ure installing a neo2.2 different solder points depending on what version ps2 you have. i should read the ps2 forum for a couple of weeks and lokk at kanection.co.uk aswell for the install diagrams

Hmm.. Neo 2 is not any more difficult than the PSOne chips, but Messiah and Neo 4 (specifically V3) are MUCH more difficult. Soldering to the DVD controller chip requires a lot of patience, time and skill...

dont forget you will need an AR 2 (little thingie that plugs into the memory card slot) comes with a boot disc...these are found at places like dixons and eletronics botique or bowlers computer fair...(if you are in the U.S. I dont know maybe radio shack) but must be chipped to work
