If you know its a stupid question then why ask it?

Yes it is a physical impossibility for a CDRW drive to write to a DVDR/W

Its possible to burn CDR/RW with a DVD burner but as above, not the other way round.

Maybe you some simple logic. You think they start selling dvd burner for a reason? I remember alot of people keep asking if the ps1 will play ps2 games. It just doesn't make sense for people to even bother to think. But you could always burn vcd minus the quality.

Also all posts in regards to DVD-->CDR ie. VCD, SVCD, AVI, etc. belong in the VCD forum.
