Is it possible to split an m2v file into 2 files, transfer it to another PC and put them back together as one again ?

Is it possible to Zip an m2v file to 50% or less to transfer it and then unzip it ?

Strange questions I know, but I have my reasons for needing to do this.

Any advice is appreciated as need to keep files under 2 gig to transfer.

If you use Winrar you can split it to any size files you want, take xbox games for example, some are over 4 gig and are split over 50 meg files, when combines they make the file back up and its in perfect condition.

If I had a DVD Writer on the machine that I want the files transfered from, I could have worked that out myself m8 (lol) and before you ask no I cannot fit a DVD Writer to that machine.

Is Winrar free to download from somewhere as I'd like to take a further look at this and give it a try.
