I've downloaded latest version of CloneCD but for some reasons cannot make it work. It takes many hours to read 1% of normal data cd:hdspin: I tried copying some protected games with fast error skip and same problem. Is this normal? can anybody help??:hdspin: :hdspin:

Does your drive support Fast Error Skip??
Check here (http://www.elby.org/CloneCD/english/cdr_a.htm).
Fast Error Skip can literally take hours. Can you burn discs normally without Fast Error Skip turned on??
Try to copy a unprotected CD (such as Win98SE or WInXP CD's) and see how that goes. That will give us something to start from.

After re-reading you post, it appears you have had the same trouble without Fast Error Skip on/
That being the case, are you able to succefully burn with another prgram such as Nero?? Have you checked your ASPI layer?
Go to this page here (http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6827) and go down to the ASPI section and read up on it there. Please post any more details about your problem, configuration, etc.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Zack, I'm using creative 8432x (actually it is 8438x) and had no problem with nero. copying some protected cds with blind read was also ok.
I tried clonecd -as you suggested - with out the fast error and unprotected cd and it went smooth. But again failed to read "Black&White" (w/o fast error skip). my PC (1.4 Mhz, 128 ram, 40G harddisc ,ASPI no idea!!)
