Has anyone seend this? My brothers PC Duron 950 512ram...20Ghd...boots up to the Windows Me intital start up screen then stops. Even after formating the hard drive.

Whats up with that?

Sounds like a hardware problem, try removing everything but the video card and then add your other devices one by one.

Sounds more like a software problem. WinMe is a virus. I used to have that same problem until I downgraded to Win98se.

There is an issue with WinME and large hard drives - get the system up n running anyway possible, and then go to Windows Update and download the update for IDE Hard Drives - Can't remember the full name of it, but if you use a large IDE hard drive, like yours, then you need to get the update. I'm running WinME on my laptop and I have no major issues what-so-ever. It's a PIII 450mhz, 5gb Hard Drive, 192mb RAM, and it runs great for what it is... XP is much better though ;)
