Goku_ssj4,

From your name I assume that you know quite a bit about DB. I played some DB games in the past and they are all very shallow. Without bias, (I know this may be hard for you) how do you think this game will turn out?

Yes, I'm hoping that this will be somewhat good. DBZ has a lot of potential plus with such a huge fanbase games should be MUCH better lol.

Ever play the DB game on Saturn? I recently got it... The game is such utter crap.... but still my friend and I managed to play it for 3 hrs staright... sad

Have you guys not been keeping up with my post. I posted about 3 over this year about the game. The games comes out Dec 17. www.zsote.com and pre order it. www.dbzonps2.com and get the movies and pics.

This game IS NOT made by the same developers that made the others so it will be better.

There was suppose to be one for PC this year too, but It got delayed due to the PS2 one.

The games are as following

Gamecube: Same as GBA one(don't know which) just better graphix, sound and everything else improved.

Xbox: fighting one, not like the Ps2 though

PC: fighting or rpg

I can't remember cause it was so long ago when I read the mag that game a discription of them.

of all the previous games released, i beleive that Final bout for the ps1 was the best albeit choppy and slow. But this one will blow the rest outta the atmosphere! it seems to move at least 60 fps and the charecter models don't look like caricatures.(i think i spelled that right  )

what i think is somewhat distorted is the array of charecters and their correspondence to the story mode of the game, but i then we'll have to wait and see. has anyone found any other sites with pics/movies .... i Can't Wait.

Seriously guys, the game is made by Infogrames. I expect utter crap out of this title. It's not like Capcom, Square, Namco, or any other reputable company is making it. It is seriously made by Infogrames, and therefore it will suck about as badly as the Bandai games.

TreFacTor

ifogames has come into a zone as of late and have made some pretty descent titles in the past 3 years, go to the link for the developer interview and you will see they actually put some effort into this title. besides, unless your a fan it may seem like the last x-men game to some.

I think for all the people who have not watched the trailer to watch it.This game for PS2 is going to rock! it has everyone in it. if they move it to December 4th that would be my second new game for the PS2. I'll let all the die hard fans of DBZ in on something if they already didn't know.

there making a dbz movie! does that rock or what?

vegeta is being played by Jet Li
rest of the cast to be announced

We will see. Like what was previously said, it can't get any worst :). Infogrames is getting better (I think driver 1 and 2 were great games for there time. The developers of GTA3/VC probably learned a lot from those games).

I'm a DBZ fan but have always hated the games so I haven't been keeping up. Is it a fighting game or RPG?

BadOmen
Nov 14, 2002, 12:34 AM
Just looked at the trailer for it....... I'm not much on fighting games except Bushido Blade 1&2 (Tekken 4 is cool though) so I'm not sure if I'm going to rush out for this one.

I have to admit it looks lightyears aheads of the other DBZ games. I just wish they would make a Xenogears quality RPG from DBZ.

At least they keep the Japanese voice for Goku (it makes me laugh every time, sounds like a cat after its tail has been stepped on)

The fusion saga is over here right now in Canada (I think the states are ahead by a bit). DBGT is done too (japanese that is). I just started watching GT, it is kind like a combo between the original and Z (childish but with super-sayian fighting).

I think if the feature film is done right it will be great for the series, but if done badly (like Fox probably will) then it will just turn away people just getting started in the series.

As far as the sceptics are consered, all the series are a bit childish, but in North American anyway, the Anime scene would be nothing without DBZ.

Far as I know where I live (in the UK) we wont even get to see the end of thew Buu saga. Unless I want to pay for a whole new channel thats its said to be on. As much as I want to get it I dowt I'll be able to. Ah well, one of my mates has all the eps on video and is gonna lend them me... I hope

Are you sure that the states don't have the fusion saga (it's after the buu one, but it still has buu in it). The episodes I have say Cartoon Network in the bottom I think (I doubt they can from YTV which is here in Canada, they are usually one saga behind the cartoon network).

They are going to air GT over here? Didn't think they would have as much of a market over here. I'm up to ep 15 and I'm not really impressed with the series, so far the coolest thing was seeing Vegita with a wussie little mustache! hehe

here in the US, we're past the fusion saga the one that aired yesterday, vegeta and goku just rescued gohan, piccalo, trunks, and goten from insisde buu. now buu is a lil kid. don't know what the conclusion is gonna be, but it's getting a little silly.

BadOmen
Nov 20, 2002, 08:40 PM
Ya, they didn't do one saga that doesn't get silly. The only serious one that comes to mind in the first saga, the buu saga was good until you see buu, then you just start questioning yourself on whether or not you should even bother watching.

If you don't like the silly episodes then GT may not be for you.

Don't get me wrong, i still think it's a kick @ss series right up there with the Ronin warriors, G-force(Battle of the Planets),Robotech and StarBlazers.

it's just that the story line is getting thin, when there is so much that can be done with it. i think that they over exagerated the good vs evil senarios in order to make the Freiza saga more dramatical. they didn't have to make Freiza the strongest villian in the univers and stress that fact. because then there's boo. if you face the most powerful villian in the univers, and win, you really don't expect that they could do much better then that.(villian wise)

look at the most successful comics and you'll see that the nemisis in those never died, but merely were defeated. that way there's still a storyline that you could come up with pertaining to that charecter. but the way the DBZ series is it's okay to have a bigger and badder foe, but each can't be proclaimed to be the most dangerous or powerful that way when they are defeated there's room for more.

maybe it's just me, i still love the concept and charecters. even Vegita Hard headed Punk Azz! almost cried when he gave his life.

BadOmen

I agree.

Ya that was probably the best episode in my opinion.
