I like to backup up more but unfornately im low on dvd-rs. It works great and I would recommend it to you. HTH nickmw Nov 11, 2002, 12:25 PM im thinking bout buying the same thing , i need advice Yosser Nov 11, 2002, 04:24 PM Just out of interest what software did you use Wopah to burn the ps2 games and i presume that your using dvd-r? As i also am thinking of buying this baby when its been out a bit longer and more media works with it. regards Yoz diskdocx Nov 11, 2002, 11:25 PM Well actually, more media works with this drive than any other on the market to date, since it handles both + and - media. I assume you mean more software, and yes I'm sure this will come shortly. Personally, I think this is a great drive, no complaints to date. I have been using it extensively for Xbox games, using the latest build of Discjuggler, which handles iso files, which is the format for all Xbox releases. The newest Nero version also supports this drive, and is ideal for mp3 and data backup. The only software I ever used that is not compatible is CDRWIN, but winiso will convert bin to iso, so discjuggler can be used. There is supposed to be an upgrade of Record Now coming for registered owners, which will support this drive also. Primo DVD is not supported, and I have yet to try a .gi file, although I do have a gi to iso converter - I hope to try this on the weekend, and will report back :) Wopah Nov 12, 2002, 12:48 AM i didn't like the software that comes with the dvd burner, so i used nero. Just do a straight 1:1 copy and it works great. I used TDK as the dvd-r media, but it could depend if your ps2 is picky on dvd-rs. When i get the chance im going to pick up some verbatims since I used these as my ps2 rips :p. This is a good burner I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get this since it does support both formats. HTH guys btw I made a copy of gta:VC and FFX. Both of them worked like the original. |
