Hello There,

I have a p3-800 256 40gig 52xlg and a Teac24x.
I'm trying to take songs off several cd and make a mixed music cd. I tried with cd creator sound stream, but it seems in each cd there a song that has a hiss or crack on it.
I'm not ripping them first, I'm just selecting the song from one cd and then burning leaving the cd open so I can add more. Sound stream seems to be the easiest way to do it , except for the pops, I reduced the burning spped to 12 but same thing.
anybuddy, have any ideas to get rid of this noise, or any other program that will allow me to compile a mixed cd easly?
how are you doing yours? Help ...... :-)
Thanks Liam

The way you burn the audio CDs is called Track At Once, where you burn some tracks at one point and some more later. The other method is Disk At Once, in which all the tracks are burned at one time and the disc is closed.

With some burners and burnware, TAO can give you noise (clicks, pops) b/w tracks because the laser is switched off & on after it finishes burning 1 track and begins burning the next. Using DAO will give you more controls on the gaps and can eliminate the click/crack noise. Try to rip the audio tracks and save them as WAVs on HD until you have enough songs to burn to a disc at one time using DAO (use EZCD itself, not SoundStream, to burn the tracks).
