i have just bought a pc to tv wire for my laptop.
i can hear the sound yet i cant see the picture.
i have set it up as stated and have checked connections. they are all fine.
anyone got a sloution.

if it is the kind that plugs into the vga connector in the back , you will have to tell your laptop to send a signal there ,, try the Fn +F4 or F7 , there should be a picture with two squares in it ,

it uses the s-video cable

you have to hit the funtion key and the change display output button. it should be a "f" key with 2 squares on it. mine is function f5

i have done that and now the laptop screen goes black and the tv screen is black but is flickeing. what should i do now?

now you have to make sure that your screen settings are accepted by the device try to set them to 800x600 that works 90% of the time ,,
