I have a friend trying to hook up his people pc email account with ms outlook but cannot get it to work. Does anybody know the setting my friend must use.

He'll need info on SMTP & POP3 settings, which are provided by the POP3 Email Provider. Outlook doesn't work with Web email, however, without a 3rd party mail retriever.

As in he has an ISP account with peoplepc.com (http://www.peoplepc.com/)?
You need the name of their mail server which normally is just mail.'ISPname'.com

So to set up the account, in Outlook select tools -> account -> new email account. Enter username and in pop3 and SMTP enter the ISPs mail server, which probably is mail.peoplepc.com .
