Was mulling over whether to get a gamecube or is the same going to happen with this as did the Dreamcast?

Capcom just announced 5 new GC games, one being the 4th Resident Evil and the other 4 brand new exclusives. Theres also another big Nintendo announcement within the next few weeks, and a Konami announcement soon. Its not going the way of the DC as of yet. (If anything, the Xbox is going the way of the DC, as the similarities between the two are uncanny - controllers, emulation, online games, sales..).

well there's a big difference between the 2, ms got tons of money while sega couldnt take the loss any more so they bail out of the console business. the xbox isnt going anywhere anytime soon.

Yeah, it's too bad that ms can't lose their investment. I'm guessing they'll just keep it afloat until they realize that they have lost too much already.

Also another similarity between the 2: Have you noticed how many games on xbox are just like the dc? (crazy taxi, etc. etc.)
