i have never heard of this on the boards but i rented mgs2 sub and after i quit the machined took a while to spit the game out. now i try to turn it on and it wouldn't at all.... i switched the modchip off (enigmah) and i get a screen saying my xbox needs to be fixed.....please has anyone heard of this before????????

Probably something with the dashboard, you may need that mantance disk, or you BIOS may be corrupted. If I'm right, the Enigima patches the original BIOS right, you may have to flash an original BIOS backup on back to it. Is you Daskboard modified?

After playing an original medal gear solid 2 sub, I think it did some kind of update to the dashboard. to give u the details i have a enigmah chip and when my box starts it goes to the screen where you can choose ms dashboard, reboot, power off, system units and launch menu)...i think its the evol x program. But now after play mgs2, my xbox won't even boot with the chip so i turned it off and i get the customer service screen....whats this patch you guys are talking about??? can you give me some help???

I just replicated your problem. MGS2 does infact mess up the dash some how. After playing MGS2 from the hard drive and pressing the eject button, the screen will give you an error 13. This happened just recently when I replaced my ms dash with the evox dash and renamed it. To have trouble free operation simply use evoxdash or yboxdash and the appropriate bios and keep the original dash under xboxdash.
