I'd setup my ps2 network adapter and at the end of the setup screen it says congrats your are online, etc. So once I start goin to the Madden 2003 demo online, it goes online but it doesnt detect a server. So i try another game, NBA 2k3 cd-rip. It detects my connection and stuff but when they verify my username and password, it says it cannot detect my DNS. I tried other games it doesnt seem to work too. Does anybody have a solution?

no, what is your network setup? are you using a router, hub, switch, dsl modem, etc..
and why did you set up the isp manually?

Im on a router... and I posted manually because when i tried to do it automatically it wouldnt detect my connection. For the user name and pw, I used the one i use to go into my isp address.

have you try setting up with dhcp? and set everything into auto? I have verizon dsl along with a linksys wireless router. Since i dont have a static iP address from verizon.. just set everything to auto on both my laptop and ps2.

You say you've set everthing manually but have you set up a DNS address?
You may have a connection with a valid IP address but when it tries to connect to a name ie, sony.com lets say, it will need to send a message to your ISP DNS server to get an IP address for the name sony.com.
Without an IP address set up for the DNS server it won't get a reply?
Hope this helps.
