Both £180 in the shops (region 2) but got mine from www.hi-spek.co.uk (i think thats the right addy) £140 for region 2 or £180 multi region and it does everything i throw at it!

microsuperstore Nov 20, 2002, 09:42 AM The best DVD player to get is the Burn Star. It will be released in the UK on Friday. Should be available from www.microsuperstore.com
Too many features to list including:
Multi region
Macro Disabled
Sexy Aluminium Front
Drop Down tray loader
Blue Neon Power Light
Very good looking player..
Plays DVD, VCD, SVCD and MP3
5.1, DTS, Dolby etc etc
Direct VGA Output (connects to monitor/plasma screens)
There are alot of players out there at the moment but most are just too damn ugly. The Burn Star player on is really sexy..looks like a £200 + player
bub1 Nov 20, 2002, 04:22 PM yes but how can you compare the name Burn Star to toshiba or philips in terms of build or relability, to me it sounds like another cheaply made machine like the Dansai or Pacific which wont last much more than 12 months.
bub
hearts Nov 20, 2002, 05:34 PM Just visited that site and the Burn star is a portable MP3 player. I might be wrong but I don't think it plays DVDs
kasimir the great Nov 23, 2002, 05:37 PM I have a Toshiba - I wont compare it to my Dansai 1010. The Tosh does exactly what I bought it for, a quality piece of kit - the dansai, cheap and cheerful play everything I put in it - usually dvdr's whose quality goes from kak to near perfect. They both serve a purpose!
