What do you think will be coming up in the future that will need the power? suzuki Nov 20, 2002, 04:19 AM This is a good question. Why do we need the wheel? Why do you need a 1500 and not stay with an Intel 486? Games, programs,... all need more power on your computer. You'll need more and more power to do things you can't imagine now. And the difference between a 1500 and a 2800 is its new technology. 0.13 micron, 533/400MHz system bus,... And now, we have a 3.06 GHz with Hyper-Threading Technology. suzuki Nov 20, 2002, 04:21 AM Originally posted by HELLTACO what would I need to be dong to tell the difference? Virtual reality on games and work  Jaice Nov 20, 2002, 08:55 PM Its much faster, almost double the speed of your 1.5Ghz, but its most likely that your motherboard won't support it unless you bought that mobo when the max speed was 2.4Ghz. You will need a 500mhz FSB and 478 sockets not 423. CPU's are getting faster every day. If you want the fastest, wait for the 3.0Ghz and get RD-RAM. |
