I know this is a little off topic, but I can’t find any impartial reviews on Car Cd MP3 players.
I’m thinking of buying the Sony CDXMP30 .
However, I know very little about the standard of Car MP3 players, for example do they jump?
I’ve found the Sony for £150 is there a better buy for the roughly the same price?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

I have a Kenwood and yes they are good because of the amount of music you can fit on one disc. The only thing I don't like is the seek times, when I put am MP3 disc in it seems to take ages to read it and skipping to the next album is the same.

Although I must say I have learned to live with it.

i've got a kenwood one as well. it has never jumped so far.

you can fit about 140 tracks on 1 cd which is

£150 is a very good price for the sony though.

i'd never go back to a normal cd player in my car again!!

I also have a car mp3 player in my car. It doesn't jump, but i notice the sound is slightly lower then a regular audio cd, and does have occasional hicup once in a while. It hold tons of music, and yes the seek time is long, it's like it's loading 10 regular audio cd, but well worth it, since u wont' be changing cd since about 8-10 album can fit on 1 cd. Alway good to have a randomized option too. In other words, get it, you can always use regular audio cd too.
