As the description asks. I just modded a 750X PSX for my cousin, and for some odd reason, it's CDR sensitive. It works with the following type:

PNY Black Diamond
RCA Computer Type
Verbatim

Will not:

Imation
Memorex (regular or black)

Any suggestions, and burning speeds and programs, thanx:D

Yeah, my 7501 won't read Imations too well either, but it reads Memorex's just fine. If the cheapos are working, then stick with 'em. Occasionally, you may get a game that doesn't like the cheap disc, so use a Verb (which is the best kind to use for psx) in that case. Also, be sure to defrag fairly often, less chance of skipping audio/video that way.

As far as programs go, the 2 most popular seem to be CDRWIN and CloneCD. Most .ppf patches are used with the .bin/.cue format of CDRWIN, be it protection, video output, or trainers, although I'm not sure if you could use a .bin created with another program with one of these patches. With protected PAL games, it's probably best to use Clone. There are several other programs, it's just a matter of trying them out and using what you're comfortable with, the same applies to brands of CDR.

Yeah I have found TDK's to be the best for me. I have a 5502 PSX and it does not read Imations either. I have never tried verbs, but then again i have never had to as TDK's work great and I can get them for a reasonable price for $1 each. (Aussie dollar that is)
