dose anyone know if there is a program that will change what your dvd player will read my normal dvd player will read all the usual formats but it wont read a dvdr i know that dvd players can be reprogram to play disk from other country's then it must be able to read dvdr if you can help many thanks bazzer

There are a small % of players that can't play DVD-R, you might be unlucky and own one of them.

Have a look here http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers and try to find yours, it will tell you what it can and can't do.
