I have many multi films on dvdr that only play on my pc. I would like to view them in my standalone. I have managed to split the first movie with smartripper and demux the audio & video files then re-authoring but when i try this for movie 2 it does not work. It will not produce the m2v & ac3 files.

Any help please

Try to copy the second films VOB files to your HDD and use IfoEdit to create new IFOs.

That might work.

Perhaps not :/

I just tried that and it didn't work but I did manage to rip with DVDDecrypter and author with IfoEdit and it worked fine.

Splitting and re-authoring presumably would not help though. You would need to re-encode the video from VCD spec MPEG1, SVCD spec MPEG2 or whatever it is to DVD complient MPEG2... Otherwise your player would have the same issues.
