Can anyone point me in the direction of an idiots guide to creating CDg's from MP3+g. It seems straight forward if you use CDRwin and of course a burner that CDRwin supports, unfortunately i don't. I have a liteon (40 speed).
I have just followed a guide @ http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk/help/noncompatibleburner/noncompatibleburner.htm wich seems to have gone well but when trying to play the cd back i just get the audio. Is this down to the burner?
Any advise or guides would be more than appreciated.

What burning software did you use? Was it cosher? You will need to give this info so that holler can help you further.

Firstly converted the MP3+g files using MP3+G toolz to create .bin, then used CDR win to craete a .cue then used Clonecd to burn also installed a virtual drive by daemon tools for clone to pick up source file.

Which burner make / model number do you use?

It must support RAW 96 to be able to burn in the subchannels as required for CD+G (no matter the technique).

And, how are you checking the disk? In a CD+G player?

The LiteOn burner is the one you want to use for this. You must use Daemon Toolz and CloneCD with this drive. I have tested the non-compatible burner technique with LiteOn drives and all works well.

Also, what version of CloneCD are you using?

:D

Got my hands on a karaoke player today and backup worked fine.
One thing i'd like to learn is how to try my backup's out on my P.C. Can this be done with my hardware/software????
Tried running the cd using wincd pro 2 but only get audio. If anyone can play CD+G with a non compatible burner i would be interested in the setup.

I thought that you were trying to use the LiteOn for a playback device... you will get scrambled or no graphics when using the burner to play your disk.

You can use Daemon Toolz for this...

Create an image of the CD+G disk you want to play or that you have burned (use the LiteOn to read the disk). Mount the CCD file into Daemon toolz, and use WinCDG Pro to playback the image from your virtual drive. The music will play and the graphics will show. It works a treat, and it is an easy way to check your backed up disk.

Not ALL burners which can read/write CD+G can also play them mate, so I'd take Hollers advice first, if it doesn't work, Tyrannosoft have a freeware CDG player, or if that doesn't work then the CD+G burning s/ware 'microstudio' has a player
