Hey Guys,
Im having problems accessing 2 certain sites when Im using my computer. It's really weird because I have a network setup and on one of my computers I can access these two sites fine but on this computer I can get every other site Ive tried but these two. I have 2 computers hooked up to a linksys router. Like I said accessing every other site is fine but just these two that Ive tried on this computer Im having problems with. The other computer on my computer picks up theses 2 sites fine though. Ive tried messing with my security level to see if that might be it, but its not. I went under
(Interent Explorer version 6)

Tools------Internet Options------Adavanced and made sure everything looked good and it was..everthing matches exactky the same settings on the computer that works fine. The two sites are

www.citicards.com
and (both owned by citibank)
www.universalcard.com

Like I said its weird because on this computer thats messing up I can pick up every site but these two that Ive tried. Any ideas whats causing this?
Thanks

I think used to have a problem similar to yours...you said you were using IE6... when I had TLS 1.0 enabled, all "Secure" sights (Fidelity, Discover) started balking, but with it disabled it worked. Of course, this was a while back and maybe they fixed the problem.

well I just called my cable company and they told me a problem like this is rare..but they connected me with a tech who seemed pretty smart and he said he has heard of this problem and what he thinks it it is Microsoft(what a shock)..He said certain Microsoft Updates seem to be messing up peoples browsers and is diabling them from accessing certain secure sites. He says Microsoft has been putting up a lot of updates over the past week(which I have noticed this week because my zonealarm has been asking "do u want to allow Microsoft upadater access to the internet"..so all of this does make more sense..like I said this guy seemed really to know what he was talking about..and this computer is the only one I allow microsoft update to constantly run update swithout actually going to the site and downloading them..he told me to call my OEM and what I would probably have to do is totally uninstall IE and maybe even access my registry and then reinstall some stuff...all this because old Bill made a mistake in his updates..but I know nothing about registry stuff so I might just never access the 2 sites again on this computer..last thing I wanna do is mess with the registry and mess up something..but anyway, thanks for all your help guys..and thank you Bill..once again something you think helps computers messes them up...forget Microsoft..we got some good geeks around here lets start a Cdrom-guide Corporation..lol.....thanks guys...have a good Thanksgiving
