I just purchased this drive at Best Buy. On sale at $9.99 after rebates. 48x12x48. It says it has "Seemless Link Buffer under run technology to prevent buffer under run error. Specs also say it will write RAW. Does anyone have any idea what this thing really is?

If I had to guess, I would go with Acer/Benq.

I think you are correct. It looks like a Benq 4816P. I wonder if it will work with Clone CD.

In case anyone is interested I can offer the following information:

Called Norcent and they say the RW481 is made by Benq. It can read sub channel and write Raw. Details to be posted on the Norcent site this week. I guess someone with the drive needs to prove their claims.

The Norcent RWJ481S is claimed to be a rebadged Lite-On per Norcent tech support.
