Hi,

What is the best software and settings to use when burning a mix cd please ?

Im currently using Nero and getting limited success with it. Some tracks seemless work whereas others jump by a split second.

Im burning all discs using disc at once and editing the properties to change the gaps to zero and also configured the phase setting (cant remember what its called!) to 1 frame.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks,

James...

Try increasing the crossfade length to 4 or 5 frames.

If the original cd is mixed then just use CloneCd to do a copy of it and it will be excactly the same as the original.

If u are on about mixing them then user Nero in the properties section with the cross fade feature

Right click on the track, select properties-indexes, zoom in to the start and end of the track, set a new index (removing any silent parts) you will have to do this for each track. A bit time consuming but the only way to get perfect results with nero. You can then save the project for next time.

You can do a similar thing with feurio, it is much quicker as you can see all the tracks at once rather than opening each one individually - but of course you may not want to change programmes just for this

I would try what Van Nugent suggested first. If that doesn't work, I'd do what MrMP suggests, however I would use Feurio (http://www.feurio.net/English/Download/index.shtml) as it is much easier and less time consuming to edit than with than Nero. It is a fully functional free download with only a nag screen. I can still remember editing my first live album, all from different sources. It took forever. It was quite an odyssey.
