yes, so you can burn image that are larger than 4 gb..........

I heard there was some software where you could make an image on Fat32 system even if it was larger than 4gb.. something like that.

anyways, why don't just convert it to NTFS, unless your hard drive is like 4 GB small.....

if not, just convert it to NTFS becuz it will prevent more errors than FAT32... (less crashes)

NTFS is also faster

If you use Primo DVD with PxEngine, you can keep the FAT32 system, it will break up the image into multiple 2 gig files.

Since you are running XP, you might as well convert to NTFS, it's a simple process.

Believe me FAT32 is no good, forget about it! Go for NTFS!

how do you convert to ntfs?and i take it the hdd will be wiped clean?also if i have everything cloned to another hard drive thats fats32 can this not be cloned back to ntsf?other wise forget it no way am i going to sit for hours reinstaling everything.

To convert you c: type the following:

convert c: /fs:ntfs

When you next restart your pc the disk will be converted, you don't have to wipe your disk.

I thought xp only runs if your using ntfs???

XP supports both, you can have separate HDs running either FAT32 or NTFS. XP is built close to win2000 specs.

does win98se work on ntfs file system?and will it handle images larger than 3.99gb?

no, win98 does not support NTFS

on Win98, FAT32 won't take images bigger than 3.99 gigs

but if you use Prassi with px engine update, you can use FAT32 still because it will break up images into multiple 2 gig files
