:) does anyone know how to install a cdburner in the place of a cd rom, and also how to uninstall them. I am trying to burn something using nero and it keeps freezing when it checks the SCSI/IDE bus. Does anyone know how to make this stop so that the computer will be able to read the cd Burner drive

PLEASE RESPOND ASAP

Did you run defrag yet? Got to be done. What OS are you using? Just had the same problem right after a reinstall of Win XP myself, defrag solved the problem.

how u got ur cd and h/d linked up?

IDE 1: H/d & CDRW? or CDRom Or just h/d by its self?
IDE 2: CDRW + CDROM or CDRROM or burner by itself?

if the 2nd option just swap the master to the cdrw then the slave to the cdrom then it should switch the drive letters :p
