Does anyone seem to have a problem with the eject button? Or am I missing something. I have triple checked all my wires with a multimeter and they are good. Here is what its doing, seems to boot every type of game fine. If I turn it on with a disk in the drive the eject WILL make the tray come out, but I cant get the eject button to make the tray go back in. I have to push the tray ALL the way in by hand. Can someone help me out on this issue?

And some of my CDR backups are booting to the white screen that says NO DATA but not very many.

Thanks,

Hmmm, no......

I check the ribbon to make sure it's secure and check the points that control the eject......but you already said you triple checked.

How about just resetting it then, does the tray go back? If so, just do that :D

yes ive checked all points they seem good with the meter. The only way I can get the tray to go back in is to turn it off. Hold the reset in util the eject light comes on and then hit reset again. Weird. Well I have a second brand new chip so I will try that next if anyone doesnt have any more suggestions. Thanks for the reply Jaymus,

Disconnect point Z mate. I think you may find that this is your problem.

Ok just to let anyone else know the resolution to this problem Im replying again to this post. It ended up being a faulty Magic 2 chip. I replaced the chip and everything is working perfectly. Man I love it when a plan comes together! ;-)
