My Creative 8438E ejects blank media when prompted to place a blank cd in the drive while burning. It just keeps ejecting as if it does not recognise it. I have managed to burn a 700 before with no problem. I have tried two different brands of CD-R and I've updated Nero to the most current version. I'm lost and I thought I would try this forum out. Any Ideas? If any I may need to be walked through the steps. I'm qite new at this. Thanks in advance for any help. :confused: :mad:

Look in your preferences/options on your recording software. make sure you select 80 minutes as your minimum burning time..... should work.....

Install the last firmware from the manufacturer's web site!

Well you would have to figure out who the manufacturer was first..
