Any ideas?
I had nero working fine on my comp. Then after a complete reinstall nero take 20 mins to copy 1 cd at 40x. The used read buffer keeps going down to 0% then back up again.
Cheers

This could go on for a while, with ppl making good suggestions, have you gone through the trouble shooters guide at the top of the CDRW page, its a sticky, it appears somethings been deleted from your PC and not re-installed yet, the time taken is due to the burn proof keep kicking in

I had the same problem with my Lite-on 24/10/40. The buffer kept emtying and it would burn slow... I finally found out that I had to enable DMA on both the CDRW drive AND THE HARDDRIVE. I was making the mistake and only enabling the DMA on the CDRW drive and didn't even know that DMA could be enable on the harddrive. So I enabled DMA on both the CDRW drive and the harddrive and for good measure installed ASPI layer 4.60, this completely cured the problem and now the drive burns like it did before I reinstalled the operating system.
