Okay, i tried asking this in the Dreamcast forum but no one has answered yet.

I need to know how change the Disc Label of an image of that disc. For example, i have a selfbooting Rayman 2 sitting here on my hard drive, but the disc label says ECHELON on it. I want to change it to say Rayman 2 US SB, or something to that nature.

How would i do this? I tried opening the CDI file in a Hex editor and i found all the instances of ECHELON, but changing them ruined the image and DiscJuggler wouldn't recognize it anymore.

i was told to try CDMage, but each time i attempted to open the CDI file, i would get an "Out of Memory" error.

any ideas?

Using Nero for an example, couldn't you just transfer the contents of your CD to a folder on your computer and then when you burned it to a new CDR change the name of the label?

Well, It gets set to ECHELON when someone uses the echelon selfboot tutorial. In this step specifically:

mkisofs -C x,y -V ECHELON -l -o data.iso data

If you know how to use the tutorial & how to extract the ip.bin off the game you could just re-selfboot it and insert the label you want instead of ECHELON. Although it does seem like aloot of work just to change what the label says (especially since a DC game is useless on a computer [which happens to be the only place you can see the label])
