I keep getting "Unknown error is occured" and it will not update it

I tried the 1.32 and 1.33 from Pioneer and Cendyne and nothing...I wanted to update to then go to 1.31

I have 1.20 straight out of the box and its connected slave to my HD primary, no PCI card. Windows XP recognizes it fine and it powers on and all that...I'm even able to watch DVD movies off it, it just always errors out on firmware update

Any ideas to try?

Thanks

-Jeff

This may be redundant (you didn't mention it though and you are running XP)... try updating in pure DOS.

Hi,

I figured it out

To go to 1.32 I had to boot into DOS with a ME floppy and then use another floppy to update the drive

To go back down to 1.31 the DOS trick didnt work but right clicking UPGDVD and going to properties and Win 95 compatibility mode worked perfectly

Go figure
