Only one solution: use Nero and its "service" NeroDriveSpeed. Very good in this matter.

Run it in pio mode instead of DMA.
Why do ya want to do that anyway.

I don't know DTUK's reasons but in 52X machines some CDs (from PC magazines for example) blow up the CD ROM drive. You have to slow their speed.
