isn't there a media issue with both of these writers??
I am going to buy one myself as soon as it is all sorted out.
I don't think after paying £200 or £250 i should have to flash the firmware(when the problem is fixed ) .
I just want to plug it in and away it goes at 4X, so i am waiting, counting my pennies.

Well only the pioneer and sony ones are doing 4x, so it's best choice to get either of them, supposely cendyne is cheaper then the official pioneer but exactly the same 4x drive. 1x burner are obsolete, so cheapest will be 2x burner which will be soon be obsolete too.
