My new improved computer will not ID my old HDD properly
About 6 months ago my brother (Who lives in PERTH 2000K away)
came over an installed XP on my HDD......didn't leave a disk..but I didn't think I needed it , anyway. Now I have upgraded M/board and CPU etc to 1.7 GHZ..When I plug in HDD it tries to start up it but will not run anything just a screen saying something is perhaps wrong and do a scandisk because something has changed in the sytem etc tc...Is there Anyway I can get my old HDD with all my programs and files to run on the new machine
