I have a HP Pavilion that crashed a couple of weeks ago. I restored and reinstalled everything, and it works fine except for trying to copy a cd. The burner is a Yamaha CRW3200EZ, and the dvd rom is a Pioneer 16X. Burning program is Nero 5.5. Since the crash, when I try to copy a cd, I get a msg that says something like this: "both drives are connected to the same IDE Bus, and this can cause an error in copying the cd, particularly in on-the-fly mode". Well, both drives are supposed to be connected to the same IDE Bus. I click the ignore box to continue and the program will start and go through it's normal routine. However, sometime after it begins burning, it will freeze, and I have to reboot. If I try to do an image copy, it is very, very slow, and it may freeze as well. It will copy downloaded files from the hard drive with no problems. I've checked and rechecked the settings for both drives, and nothing helps. I've reninstalled and checked and unchecked and rechecked the settings and nothing helps. What am I overlooking?

Greets :) You Should have your Hd as Master on Primary Ide Your Pioneer A Slave Primary Ide. Your Yamaha as Master of the Secondary Ide . Make sure the jumper are set to the Proper setting as per they're placement... also enable the DMA's for ALL DRIVES (Hd& Rom's)
