Hi,

I have an older SCSI dataDisc recordable CD-R 2x.
I need its drivers but the company does not support it anymore :( .
I use Win98se and it recognizes it as Sony CD-R CDU920S and wants its drivers. I dont know why.
If someone has that device driver (datadics' or sony's), I will appreciate for it very much.

It should just use windows default drivers.

Unfortunately it doesn't use windows default drivers.
Let me tell about my experience, maybe will be useful some others:
I use Win98 on my laptop.

I installed an Bus Toaster PCMCIA SCSI card and its driver without problem.
I connected that SCSI dataDisc 2x CD-Recordable.
Windows has no driver for it and recognizes it as a Sony CD-R CDR920S.
I found that Sony driver with that name and installed it. When I installed it, I saw that it is Corel 2 CD Creator.
After installation of that driver, my laptop saw the D: driver, and read the CD's.
I installed Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0, but it didn't saw the device as a CD-R. So, I couldn't burn CD.
After then, a weird thing happened: when I start windows, CD-R should be connected and turn on. Otherwise, windows couldn't start, and shut down itself.
I tried to uninstall CD-R, even Bus Toaster driver.
Windows didnt started anymore, except safe mode.
I tried to reinstall Windows (I did this several times, without any formatting or data loss, before). But I couldn't.
I removed older Windows folder, and this time I could reinstall windows.
I tried to install CD-R driver again, all the same things happened, and I reinstalled windows second times.

I gave up using that CD-R, like dataDisc representative advice me. They said that there is no support for this device anymore and its better have a 24x IDE burner.
