Looking to replace my trusty epson 880. It's been a good un, but it's now giving banding at 360 dpi, looks like the print head is worn out.

I want something that is fairly fast and cheap to run that will give good results at 360 dpi.

Also need something that is cheap to run i.e. compatible cartridges.

Looking to pay anywhere between £100 to £200.

Cheers

Smithy

I own the HP photosmart 1000. It is a very capible printer and has very good quality photo printing to boot. It cost me about $150 a year ago (not sure what the conversion rate is for you). I don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for, but I have had good luck with it.

I'd deffo go for another Epson especially concidering the price of compatables from places like the link below, print quality/speed has also been good with the Epsons ive had in the past, i'd just search for a review site of Epson printers and make your choice from that if i was you.
